What to expect

Throughout this 9-week subject, students will engage with 6 modules.  This subject aims to help students apply their learning with confidence in real workplace settings. Through professional experiences aligned with career goals, students will translate theory into practice, strengthen key employability skills, and develop as reflective, work-ready professionals.

 
During this subject, students will:
  • Apply knowledge and skills in a real or simulated workplace environment
  • Strengthen teamwork, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Learn to receive, interpret, and act on professional feedback
  • Reflect on strengths, challenges, and areas for development
  • Build confidence in contributing effectively within an industry context

Study Mode & Structure

Each subject runs over 9 weeks, designed to help you stay focused and make steady progress.

You’ll take part in:

  • 3.3 hours per week of facilitated study — live classes, tutorials, and Q&A sessions
  • 7-10 hours per week of independent study — readings, videos, and assessments
  • 8 hours (total) of work experience 

Across the term, you’ll explore six themed modules (one per week) and complete three assessments that help you apply what you’ve learned in realistic industry scenarios.

Assessment

You’ll complete three practical assessments designed to help you apply what you’ve learned in realistic industry scenarios — with no exams.

Assessments are spread across weeks 3, 6, and 9, and will include tasks such as online quizzes, reflective essays, role plays, presentations or similar that mirror real workplace skills.
