INF102FC is an elective subject of the Diploma of Travel and Tourism delivered in partnership between Flight Centre Travel Academy and Torrens University Australia.

Pre-requisites: SIB101FC Succeeding in Business, TTI101FC Travel Trends and Insights
You are also required to be currently employed in the industry and able to complete 90 hours of work over the study period in order to be eligible for enrolment in this subject.
What to expect
Throughout this 9-week subject, students will engage with 6 modules and at least 90 hours of work experience. This subject aims to extend students’ knowledge and skills by applying their learning in a real-world workplace environment. Through professional experience, students will broaden their understanding of the travel and tourism industry, workplace culture, and professional conduct.

Student Experience

- Receive one-on-one coaching calls, assessment assistance, and student wellness support as needed.
- Work experience with an employer in the student’s chosen area of the travel and tourism industry.
Study Mode & Structure
Each subject runs over 9 weeks, designed to help you stay focused and make steady progress.
You’ll take part in:
- 3.3 hours per week of facilitated study — live classes, tutorials, and Q&A sessions
- At least 90 hours total (approx 10 hours per week) of work experience
Across the term, you’ll explore six themed modules (one per week) and complete three assessments that help you apply what you’ve learned in realistic industry scenarios.

Assessment
You’ll complete three practical assessments designed to help you apply what you’ve learned in realistic industry scenarios — with no exams.
Assessments are spread across weeks 3, 6, and 9, and will include tasks such as online quizzes, reflective essays, role plays, presentations or similar that mirror real workplace skills.
90-Hour Industry Experience Requirement
This subject requires students to complete a minimum of 90 hours of industry-related experience in travel and tourism. They can be paid or voluntary roles across a variety of areas such as:
- Travel Services
- Hotel and Accommodation
- Tour Operators
- Airline Services
- Attractions
- Events and venues
Please note: You are also required to be currently employed in the industry to be eligible for enrolment in this subject.
