IMB101FC is a core subject of the Diploma of Travel and Tourism delivered in partnership between Flight Centre Travel Academy and Torrens University Australia.

What to expect
Throughout this 9-week subject, students will engage with 6 modules. This subject aims to introduce students to the core principles of marketing and branding, with a strong focus on developing their personal brand within the travel and tourism industry. Students will learn how to apply professional marketing strategies to shape their identity, communicate value, and stand out in a competitive field.

Study Mode & Structure
Each subject runs over 9 weeks, designed to help you stay focused and make steady progress.
You’ll take part in:

3.3 hours per week of facilitated study — live classes, tutorials, and Q&A sessions

7-10 hours per week of independent study — readings, videos, and assessments
Across the term, you’ll explore six themed modules (one per week) and complete three assessments that help you apply what you’ve learned in realistic industry scenarios.

Assessment
You’ll complete three practical assessments designed to help you apply what you’ve learned in realistic industry scenarios — with no exams.
Assessments are spread across weeks 3, 6, and 9, and will include tasks such as online quizzes, reflective essays, role plays, presentations or similar that mirror real workplace skills.
