How does it work?

Here is how it generally works:

Step 1: Study 1 subject while still at school

Build your foundation with your first subject in your uni-level Diploma - 

Delivered in a 9-week study block and various starting dates, you have the flexibility to fit it in around your Year 12 commitments.

Step 2: Finish High School & Choose your pathway

Complete Year 12 and choose your Study + Jobs pathway - choose from:

  • Events planning
  • Hotels and Hospitality
  • Aviation and Airlines
  • Travel Consulting

Step 3: Begin your Study + Jobs program a step ahead!

 Progress directly into your chosen Study + Jobs program with one subject already completed towards your Diploma of Travel and Tourism - 7 subjects to go! 

Did you know you can turn your diploma into a degree?

Complete your Diploma and gain direct entry into 2nd year of a Bachelor of Business with Torrens University Australia.

Who can apply for a Year 12 Accelerator Program and is it hard to manage

Students who are 17 or older and in (or entering) Year 12 can apply. The program is designed to be flexible and manageable alongside school, with online learning that fits around exams and commitments. It’s a supportive way to experience Higher Education without overwhelming your final year.

 Can I study travel and tourism in Year 12, do I need an ATAR, and is it worth it?

  • Yes. You can study travel and tourism in Year 12 by completing a Higher Education (AQF Level 5) subject with flexible online learning alongside school. 
  •  No ATAR is required — entry is based on a simple online assessment. 👉  See entry requirements for the Diploma →   
  • It’s worth it because you gain real tertiary experience, reduce your future study load, and get a head start on your career.  

Entry Requirements

Start your study journey during Year 12 and get a head start on your Diploma.

  • Age: You must be 17 years or older.
  • Entry: No ATAR or QCE required. Simply complete the online Entry Assessment.
  • Fees: No upfront payments. Australian and eligible NZ citizens can access 100% FEE-HELP. Find out more about Financial Support

  Why should I join the Year 12 Accelerator Program?
