New Zealand - Australia travel bubble plans for March 2021

In one of the best news stories of 2020, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced this week they have agreed in principle to a travel bubble with Australia!

The arrangement will allow travellers from both Australia and New Zealand to bypass quarantine requirements when travelling between the two destinations.

While no date has been set yet, the NZ government hopes to name a precise date "in the new year, once remaining details are locked down," said Ardern.

It's been a long 9 months of no international travel for Aussies, so we are stoked to say the least.

Whose keen for a snow trip in July 2021? An adventure filled Queenstown holiday? An stunning sight-seeing road trip around the South Island? We sure are! And Flight Centre's recent customer activity on their website since the announcement seems like a lot of Aussies are feeling the same, with many jumping on to check out current holiday deals across the ditch.

Here's hoping more countries jump on board with future travel bubbles, with the Australian government holding talks with several Asian countries including Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
