Online study is growing more and more popular and it isn’t hard to see why! The flexibility online study brings makes it easy to fit a full-time study load alongside work, parenting and other commitments.

At Flight Centre Travel Academy we run a blended model of study. This means, the majority of the Diploma of Travel and Tourism is online however we also incorporate 4 weeks of in-class learning. These 4 weeks are spread out into 5 day blocks over the 9 month period and give students the chance to talk one-on-one with our facilitators and use real-world industry systems and programs.

So, what are the benefits of online study?

1. Flexibility

As mentioned earlier, one of the major benefits of online study is being able to fit it around other commitments like work or family. Or simply, if you find you work best waking up at 5am and working until midday, you can make that your study schedule. As the travel industry is a very practical, the Diploma of Travel & Tourism is built mainly around online study, with 4 weeks of in-class learning – this allows us to give you the hands on experience with our world-class systems but also the flexibility to study online!

2. Self-Paced Learning

Another benefit of online learning is how it allows you to learn at your own pace. It’s no secret that everyone learns differently and you might find you learn quicker than most other students or, on the other hand, you need to spend more time taking in all the information. Online learning means that you can give yourself as much time as you require on each learning module.
