Our Diploma of Travel and Tourism runs over two semesters. In semester one, you will learn about the diverse range of travel and tourism products, how you can provide specialist international advice, master your sales technique and manage a tourism business.

Semester two further develops the foundation skills learnt in semester one. You will learn how to operate the intricate travel systems, how marketing can benefit your travel product, destination management and effective organisational structures.

Our course is delivered in two 18-week semesters.

  • Understanding People & Organisations
  • Place, Culture and Destination Management
 

ASSESSMENT

Each subject will comprise of 2-3 assessments which will vary in type, duration, weighting and detail.

Various types of assessments may use include;

  • Essays
  • Reports
  • Presentations
  • Exams
  • Quizzes
  • Journals

 

DIPLOMA OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM DELIVERY

From the 8 subjects in this course, 4 will require both facilitated training, where you attend class and online learning and the other 4 will require online learning with optional study workshops. 

The in-class component will be 5 days approximately every 2 months, totaling 20 compulsory in-class days over the entire duration of the travel course.

Facilitated learning will be conducted in Flight Centre Head Office’s across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
