We don’t know about you, but travel gives us all the feels. Travel is one of those things that has the power to conjure a spectrum of emotions – from sheer frustration through to absolute euphoria.

How many of these travel feels have you experienced?

  1. Feeling overwhelmed when you’re trying to squeeze every little thing into your holiday planning

  2. That initial buzz when you actually book your trip

  3. A second-round buzz when you’re waiting to board and it all becomes real

  4. The anxiety that creeps in when you leave the house and wonder what you’ve forgotten. Packing hacks, people!

  5. A blend of exhaustion and excitement when you finally arrive

  6. Pure joy when you discover free airport wi-fi that doesn’t constantly drop out

  7. Unbridled ecstasy when you get an upgrade to the next cabin / a better room

  8. Frustrated at being stuck on the aisle when the stranger next to you wants to get up every half hour

  9. Hand-sweating, heart-stopping panic when you see the air bridge close and you’re not on the plane

  10. Uncontrollable energy on your first morning waking up in a new city...

  11. ...and the inevitable jet-lag crash by mid-afternoon

  12. Annoyed at having to live out of a suitcase after one day. How do travel bloggers do it?!

  13. Chuffed when someone mistakes you for a local because you look like you know where you’re going

  14. Smug when locals ask how you found their favourite bar away from the tourist traps

  15. Terrified (in a good way) for your first bungee, shark dive, or taste of haggis

  16. The accomplishment of taking a cliché travel selfie

  17. A sense of obligation to introduce new foreign friends to the Tim-Tam slam

  18. Flattered when someone compliments your adorable accent...

  19. ...and mildly offended when someone mistakes your Aussie twang for an English accent

  20. Totally zen when you find a beautiful corner of the globe and feel that magical connection with nature

  21. The butterflies and buzz of a holiday romance

  22. Homesick. Enough said.

  23. A sense of achievement when you spend every last cent of foreign currency at the airport shops

  24. The comfort of finally being home in your own bed
