2 Minutes with Travel Academy Student Paige Stevenson

Paige's Quote

I decided to study tourism and business because...

You can always be one step ahead when you go for a job! The Travel Academy has really helped me excel in the learning I need to take my career that extra step forward.

I chose to study with Flight Centre Travel Academy because...

I was already studying a Certificate III in Tourism with another training organisation. It gave me a good insight into the training they both offered.

The Travel Academy definitely takes the cake in regards to preparing you for the travel industry.

I knew it was time for a career change because...

I was working in hospitality in hotels and had a few customers comment on how well I would perform in sales, so here I am studying!

Travel has always been an important part of my like because...

I was born in the UK, so travelling around the world has always been a big part of my life. It’s the same for my partner; his family is from Hong Kong and we’re hoping to head over there within the next year.Paige and her partner at Halona Blowhole Lookout in Oahu, Hawaii

I knew I was on the right path towards my dream career when...

We were given an opportunity to meet with recruitment after our ten days of classroom training.

I was one of the lucky ones in our class to be presented with an opportunity to work for Flight Centre Travel Group and am currently waiting on a position I can jump into!

Something I didn't realise when I started my course was...

The Travel Academy offered great insight as to what sort of role you could go into after completing the course. It was a little bit of a shock to learn how well you need to manage your time and multitask!

One of the biggest challenges I faced during my travel course was...

Finishing the ten days of classroom study and then trying to complete the online modules by myself. Normal life distractions can sometimes get in the way.

My advice for anyone thinking about studying with Flight Centre Travel Academy is...

JUST DO IT! You won’t look back and it’s such a rewarding industry. If you prove yourself, the sky is the limit!
